Join UNICEF USA for a webinar to celebrate World Refugee Day on Thursday June 11, 3 pm EST / 12 pm PST. 

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), 70.8 million people around the world have been forced to flee their homes. Among them are nearly 25.9 million refugees, over half of whom are under the age of 18. To commemorate World Refugee Day, you will hear from Mark Engman, Managing Director, Public Policy & Advocacy at UNICEF USA, Eitan Peled, Manager, Child Migration & Protection Program at UNICEF USA, Lily Espinoza, Associate, Community Engagement  at UNICEF USA, Mark Hager, Director at Refugee Services of Texas, and Isaac D., Youth Advocate & Former Refugee on how we as a community can protect refugee and migrant youth. We will also highlight and discuss the disproportionate impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on refugee and migrant populations.

NOTE: The official day for World Refugee Day is Saturday June 20.
