Every Summer during the month of August, members of Congress leave their offices in Washington, D.C. to visit their home districts for the opportunity to meet with constituents on key issues affecting their communities - that's you! As a UNICEF USA supporter, you have the power to use your voice for the voiceless and advocate for children around the world in this year's virtual Congressional meetings.
August Recess is a critical time for UNICEF USA to mobilize advocates in their home districts and meet with their legislators to ask for their support for UNICEF, including the annual voluntary contribution to UNICEF appropriations from the U.S. Government. These meetings are an ideal opportunity to meet with members of Congress and staff before mark ups and hearings that are scheduled before the end of the calendar year.
Register today to be connected with fellow children's rights advocates in your community and speak out for children this August!
