UNICEF NextGeneration is inviting all you ladies and gents to don you swankiest attire for an unforgettable night at the Windy City Speakeasy.
On Saturday, February 4 2017, Underground will travel back to the roaring '20s for a night of music and dancing, savory and sweet bites, and handcrafted prohibition cocktails provided by Double Cross Vodka along with some other hooch. Try your hand at the roulette or craps table, but don't worry about losing your scratch. It's just for fun. This is a classy joint, so come dressed to impress with your rendition of the period infamous for its fashion.
By purchasing a ticket, all of your tax-deductible donation will go directly to UNICEF NextGeneration's two priority campaigns for this year:
1. UNICEF Violence Interruption Program in Jamaica: Jamaica has one of the highest homicide rates in the world. UNICEF uses the "Cure Violence" methodology that treats violent crime like an epidemic, tracing the source and employing "violence interrupters" from within communities to intervene in conflicts before they turn deadly.
2. UNICEF Emergency Relief Fund: When disaster strikes, UNICEF is the lead agency in charge of water as part of the U.N. coordinated international response. UNICEF also focuses on providing children with safety, education, food and emotional support during crises like conflicts, diseases, and natural disasters such as the recent Hurricane Matthew. We need to have emergency funds ready-to-go!
