UNICEF NextGen is hosting a casual meet-and-greet gathering on Wed, June 7 to discuss UNICEF's work in Colombia. The event will feature a UNICEF program expert and several members of UNICEF NextGen who have visited a Colombia field site.
This will be an opportunity for NextGen members and prospects to meet each other and learn about an inspiring example of UNICEF supporting some of the world's most vulnerable communities.
Colombia is currently affected by three urgent situations: the influx of millions of migrants arriving due to Venezuela's crisis, water scarcity in drought-striken regions, and armed conflicts. UNICEF is playing a huge role advocating for children affected by all three factors, working closely with governmental and local organizations and even helping to guide peace talks with armed groups.
The event will be held at 30 Park Place (38th Floor Lounge), New York, NY from 6:30-8:00pm. Light and healthy bites will be served.
If ticket sales for the event are closed, please email alex.m.verdone@gmail.com to see if you can join due to any last minute cancellations.
