NextGen NY Steering Committee member, Gwen Twilghman, invites you all to a conversation with Tara Abrahams, the Executive Director of Glamour’s The Girl Project, about why girls' education matters for global advancement.
Tara is a visionary social sector leader with more than 15 years of experience in strategy consulting, philanthropy, program implementation, and change management. Tara currently leads The Girl Project at Glamour Magazine to help companies connect with their customers and create a philanthropic legacy by investing in girls’ education. Her other experience with nonprofit programs and international girls’ and women’s initiatives includes Girl Rising, Girls Who Code, and International Center for Research on Women.

UNICEF Next Generation is a group of young leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators in their 20s and 30s who commit their resources, resolve and enthusiasm toward supporting UNICEF’s lifesaving work. Members study issues that affect children around the world and choose UNICEF projects to support through education, advocacy, skill sharing/remote volunteering and fundraising.
