As mentioned before, this tournament will be taking place entirely on the game Fortnite. Once you have your team of 4 setup and joined the Discord server provided in the email, you will be fully registered. For how the actual tournament will work, the matches will be setup by the two moderators on Discord (SNK Sphinx and Brick General YT - both are officers of the UNICEF club). They will create a randomized single elimination bracket with all the teams that have entered the tournament, and will provide times for each of the matches with the final bracket that is made.
After the bracket is made, either of the moderators will make announcements in the Discord regarding when each match is starting. From there, the actual matches will begin. Teams will join a specific voice chat for only their team on the discord 10 minutes before their match has started, and as the time for the match begins, the moderators will move them to game voice chats where teams can communicate among themselves during the match. Opposing teams will not be able to communicate during the match.
On Fortnite, one of the moderators will set up the actual match in Creative Mode. They will send friend requests to all the participating members (of both teams in a match) and set up the lobby through that. The moderator will remain in the lobby throughout the game, but as a spectator, so they can make sure all play is fair.
Once a match has been concluded, the moderators will mark down the official score and adjust the bracket accordingly. Subsequent matches will be announced on the Discord. This will continue until the final match has been reached, and a winning team is crowned.
