SST 'STARs in the Character Sky' Event

9:00am CST 3/30/2021

About this Event
School of Science and Technology is one of the public charter school systems in Texas, USA. Nine (9) of our schools receive the National School of Character Designation from character.org which has validated schools’ character development programs since 1993. Eight (8) of our practices are named nationally as Promising Practices by the same organization. We have partnered with other organizations to celebrate Character Education Week 2019, 2020, and 2021. One of our activities is to run a worldwide character education poster drive from November 15th to March 31st. Our initiative website is www.thecharacterweek.com. The poster drive is called ‘Color the World with Character.’ 3266 Students’ entries were received from Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Ecuador, Egypt, Ghana, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Peru, Russian Federation, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Ukraine, Venezuela, and the United States (Alabama, Alaska, California, Florida, Texas, and Utah).

All the profits of the event will be donated to support UNICEF’s education programs worldwide. The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) works in more than 190 countries and territories to put children first. UNICEF has helped save more children’s lives than any other humanitarian organization, by providing health care and immunizations, safe water and sanitation, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more.
