Participants will engage in an interactive workshop geared toward equipping learners with knowledge about child rights and empowering youth to use their voice to influence change in their local community. Join UNICEF USA and learn more about the United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child, becoming a child rights advocate, contributing to a more just and inclusive society, and much more. There will be prizes, giveaways, and pizza.
This is an active, facilitation-based event where you can engage directly with learning about human rights, international treaties, and UNICEF USA’s work. The training will help to bring these global concepts down to the local level to benefit children and adolescents in your work and studies.
Global Learning Medallion credits will be given for your attendance. The event is open to the public, which includes all FIU students, faculty, partner organizations, or anyone interested .
There will be an additional opportunity to speak with UNICEF USA staff about how to volunteer in Miami.
UUSA would like to thank the Global Learning Medallion staff and our amazing Miami volunteers for helping to make this training possible.
