The PVHS UNICEF Club will host an ice cream fundraising event at the high school on December 15th over both lunch periods. The objective of the event is to support UNICEF’s efforts in protecting children’s rights. All ice cream sale proceeds will be donated to UNICEF.
UNICEF responds to commercial sexual exploitation, trafficking, child labor, harmful traditional practices like female genital mutilation and child marriage and more. UNICEF aims to prevent and respond to such abuse, especially for those most vulnerable: children on the move, children living on their own and children living in areas affected by conflict or natural disasters.
For this event, we have the amazing support from Ben & Jerry’s in Nocatee. Our club’s objectives align with Ben & Jerry’s Values and Mission in advancing “…human rights and dignity, support social and economic justice for historically marginalized communities...”.
