Join UNICEF at UIUC and the Pakistan Student Association for our seventh annual Black and White-themed Gala: Unified for Climate Justice: Uplifting Pakistan. This event will be held in person at the Illini Union Ballroom in Champaign, Illinois on April 15, 2023, from 7:00 pm-10:00 pm CST. Event attendees will leave more knowledgeable about UNICEF's work to promote and protect the family and children in Pakistan. We will be serving dinner midway through the event, a vegetarian and halal adoption will be available. Raffle tickets will be sold during the event for $2 each. Pakistan’s 2022 monsoon season has affected over 33 million people and flooded over 15% of the entire country. Families have been separated and over 20.6 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance. Flood damages are expected to total nearly $30 billion.
With the recent impacts of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, this year's gala will offer a short presentation from UIUC's Turkish Student Association regarding the effects of the earthquake on the Turkish community.

The University of MIchigan is excited to host our first UNICEF Water Walk, where nonpartisan clubs at the University of Michigan will donate to partake in the event! It will be focused on advocating and fundraising for global water and sanitation programs, with an emphasis on the water crisis in developing countries. We will educate our club, and our school community, on the brutal realities facing children in regard to the lack of clean water.

Children worldwide are faced with life-threatening illnesses. Many of these illnesses are preventable through vaccination, however, countless children do not have access to these life-saving treatments. The Masks For A Better Life program will hopefully lead to an increase in vaccines within third-world countries. The funds from the mask sales will be donated to UNICEF's Health and Immunization Global Program. The masks will be black and contain the Masks For A Better Life logo and one size fits all.
Unite for Ukraine Showcase is a display of Celebration High School's talents. Students of all cultures will be performing their dances, songs, speeches, and acting. The event's earning will go towards UNICEF in aiding Ukraine during these difficult times. Upon entry, a $5 minimum donation fee will be required.
